Graphics and development studio ABAFFY DESIGN was founded by web designer Tomáš Abaffy, who’s been active in the business of web design and management since 2001.
Tomáš Abaffy has been part of major web projects in Slovakia. He was responsible for the 2002 redesign of the TA3 TV (news network) website, which was used until 2006. He is one of the founders of Medialne.sk, news website about Slovak media market, which has achieved cult status with young team of media analytics around Radoslav Augustin. Medialne.sk was bought by TREND Holding in 2006 and thus joined the TREND media group of Trend and Profit magazines.
We build teenagers' social network BIRDZ.SK, since 2008 has been part of PEREX media group (publisher of Pravda and Avizo daily newspapers)
In 2007, Tomáš Abaffy designed brand new web project of SITA news agency and helped with the launch of their news portal Webnoviny.sk, which has grown to be one of the most successful news websites in Slovakia. Since 2009, he works with Pravda newspaper on Varecha.sk, a social network for food lovers.
We mainly focus on web development of news websites, internet portals or social networks. We also work on smaller web projects, e-shops, groupon style websites or complex graphic solutions from website design to user interfaces. In 2011, we ventured into mobile app development for both iOS and Android.
